Who’s Bonbon?

Bonbon is a nickname I never grew out of – in fact, I’ve had relatives who for years never knew my real name was Yvonne! The nickname has stayed with me all my life and I’m okay with that because as it turns out, “BONBON’S BOOKKEEPING BIZ” has a nice ring to it!

I’m a San Francisco native who relocated to the Sacramento suburbs three decades ago to raise my family. I have two amazing sons who are now grown and building lives of their own – one locally and the other in SoCal. What matters most to me is God, my inner circle of family and friends, and a genuine desire to help others. These things are at the core of who I am. In my spare time, you can find me dancing hula, taking Zumba classes or enjoying a good meal or happy hour at one of our yummy local restaurants.

My Experience and Education

For decades I worked in the legal industry as a legal assistant/paralegal. For the latter part of that experience, I was an office manager for a prominent Sacramento area law firm tasked with managing the firm’s bookkeeping for about 10 years. What I learned is that I was good at it and I loved it! So much so that I started my own bookkeeping business during the pandemic. I’m now an Advanced ProAdvisor and Certified Expert in QuickBooks Online. I also have a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services. It’s an area of study that is focused on improving the overall quality of another human being’s life. I not only want to hear about what’s going on with your business and how I can help you, but I’m genuinely interested in hearing about you, too.
